As you all well know, Dante, your friend and my colleague, recently visited CRUX at his home. While there, he retrieved something rather… disconcerting. I thought I should share it with you, but I needed you to earn it. It’s a rather delicate piece of information. You needn’t worry about sharing it, as I doubt he will even be able to consciously register its existence, as such things go.

It’s unhealthy and it’s counterproductive. I try to remind myself only to take what I deserve and share the rest, where it’s due. It isn’t on me. So much of it is all beyond my control. And, at the same time…

Don’t sell yourself short, you did what you could. From what I’ve heard of DEAN, I doubt anyone could have stopped him. Better that Ink heard your song than dying on the run and scared.
As for Katie, she made her own choice, trusting that you’ll be there to pull her back again. She would have given up fighting long ago if not for that hope and trust.
Just remember that if you take action, you must choose wisely. Some actions have greater consequences than any of us yet realize.
